Abdominoplasty -the Surgery from Start to Finish
Abdominoplasty or ‘tummy tuck’ is cosmetic surgery to remove fat and extra loose skin from the abdomen. In most cases, it will restore weakened or separated muscles, and change the shape and tone of the abdomen to create a firmer and smoother profile. Abdominoplasty is not a substitute for weight loss or an appropriate exercise program. It may be possible to achieve a flatter stomach without surgery, through healthy dieting and exercise. Many surgeons recommend that abdominoplasty should be considered only after dieting and exercise have achieved the right body shape underneath. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() If you are concerned about the way you look or are thinking about cosmetic treatments to boost your confidence, there are alternatives. These may include lifestyle changes or learning to accept yourself the way you are. stuff doing a tummy tuck! looks horrible |

Re: Abdominoplasty -the Surgery from Start to Finish
That is brutal! I've toyed with the idea - not because of fat (I'm in the process of shedding that) but because of excess skin. After two pregnancies I'm not confident that it will go away. Mind you, the scars aren't exactly attractive either - the only people who look at my stomach don't give a fuck anyway. And on top of that: I bet the recovery sucks. I've had two caesarians, and the incision is MUCH smaller than that, and is uncomfortable enough. |

Re: Abdominoplasty -the Surgery from Start to Finish
Had a friend who had a tummy tuck, after having 7 kids (5 at one time), but then had 2 more kids after the surgery. It undid all the work and looks worse than before the surgery. |
