30 Injured when Bull Goes on a Rampage During Festival

At least 30 people were injured , six of whom remain in serious condition, after the unexpected escape of a bull during a bullfight organized as part of the festivities in honor of the Lord of Andamarca.

The incident occurred last Sunday, June 8, in a supposedly improvised bullring. In the midst of the celebration, one of the bulls burst out of the designated area, sparking alarm among the hundreds of attendees gathered there.

According to preliminary reports, the animal managed to make its way to an elevated area designated for the bullfighters, beyond the immediate control of the organizers.

In a video the moment the bull charges a man can be seen, sending both of them tumbling down a steep slope.

This scene triggered a chain reaction: dozens of people began running in different directions, trying to escape the attack. "The situation triggered a stampede," witnesses reported, describing scenes of panic and confusion.

Among the crowd, a man was seen fleeing with his son in his arms, trying to avoid being hit by the animal.

Others jumped from walls approximately three meters high, hoping to escape in time. "The confusion caused multiple falls and injuries," those present added, which increased the number of injured.

Also a young woman being brutally attacked and dragged several meters. Townspeople tried to intervene by throwing chairs and various objects at the bull, but without immediate success. The young woman was rendered unconscious and was one of the victims rushed to the hospital.

In its charge, the bull even destroyed musical instruments set up for the festivities, increasing the confusion among the attendees.
