2.5 Year Old with Burns to Feet
A 2 1/2 year old girl presented with a history of injuring her feet on hot bitumen(asphalt). The feet have been cleaned. I don't know what they mean by "a history of injuring her feet on hot bitumen", I couldn't find anymore info. Poor baby. |

Re: 2.5 Year Old with Burns to Feet
In really hot places (like the desert) this happens a lot. I've burnt my feet a few times saying 'oh, I'll just run out to get the mail'. You have to be careful with pets too, I've seen a number of dogs that got taken for walks on hot pavement ending up with severe burns to the paw pads. BTW, 'a history of' in medical speak is just 'she came in with...'. The 'history' is the nature and cause of the injury. |
