18 Inch Drill Bit Through Head
Way back in 2003, a California construction worker was working on an area that required him to balance on a ladder with a large chip auger drill. The ladder broke and he fell, face first. The 18 inch drill bit went straight into Hunt's eye socket, and exited via the back of his skull. His brain was nudged to the side. The stunned man didn't even quite realize what had happened until he felt the drill bit entering his eye then some more of said drill bit exiting the back of his head. He was rushed to the hospital by his co-workers. At first, the doctors were at a loss on how to remove it. They decided to cut off the bits that were sticking out and remove the rest surgically, when one of them noticed in the middle of the operation that the drill was loose so they simply unscrewed it very slowly. |

Re: 18 Inch Drill Bit Through Head
I don't think he's got an eye left. The bit looks too big to have been able to go in the socket and pass by the eyeball. I'd say he's missing a bit of brain matter, also. |
