Re: Youngster Run Over

I had to get on the neighbors' kids a couple of weeks ago. They're latch-key kids, meaning, they have a couple of hours at home after school before their parents get home.

I'm out on the front porch having a smoke, and these kids are running out into the street over and over again, playing some game. Finally, I shouted at them to be careful in the street.

They were running out into the street without looking.

Maybe if parents would show their kids pictures like these, looking both ways before running out into the street would come as natural to them as being careful around strange dogs.

A lot of kids don't think. Too many parents don't care.

And this shit happens.

Not saying that this is the case here, but I'd give you an even wager that it was. Kid was playing, didn't look, and got hit.

Shit's enough to make you angry.

Parents are far too liberal with their kids these days. Spank their asses for running out into the street. Quit letting them act however they damn well please.

They're kids. They don't understand personal responsibility. It is up to parents to be responsible for them, and to teach them responsibility!

Re: Youngster Run Over

Well what the hell the parents let such a small child wonder around, very harsh to say but that is totally expected. I feel sorry for the child they don't know any better.
