Circumstances aren't entirely clear. She and a friend were walking on the street when they were approached by assailants shooting at them. The friend (no photos) was hit several times, but managed to survive. The young woman featured here (around 20 years old) was shot only once, but it was in the head and proved fatal.

She apparently attempted to outrun her assassins, leaving her sandals behind her in the street. Unfortunately, it seems she was unable to run fast enough and was shot down, barefoot, several yards away.

There were multiple assailants. Unless all her ex's banded together to form a lynch mob, I doubt it was just a crime of passion.
