A military police officer was arrested in the act on suspicion of killing his wife on PB-095, between the municipalities of Massaranduba and Serra Redonda, in the early hours of this Saturday (6).

The suspect was identified as Corporal Luiz Miguel and the victim is Elida d.N.S., 22 years old.

According to the Military Police, the man stated that they had ended their marriage, but met last night during a gathering at a bar in Campina Grande. He claimed there was an argument at the bar, but that it was resolved.

While they were returning to Serra Redonda, the officer stopped the car after another argument and shot the victim, who died on the highway. The man remained at the crime scene, called the Military Police, and when the officers arrived, he handed over the weapon and surrendered.

The suspect was taken to the Campina Grande Police Station, where he is giving a statement and is awaiting a custody hearing.

Here's an extra video. It isn't great, but you can see them working on her body in the background so I figured I'd add it.

Most of the accounts I read/watched don't really hold much water in my opinion. He had injuries on his body from a fight. He told the police that he was driving and she first threatened to jump out of the truck and then started attacking and hitting him while he was trying to drive. Out of panic and self-defense, he pulled his gun and shot her WHILE HE WAS DRIVING THE TRUCK, without counting the shots. Then called the cops.

Except she didn't die in the truck. She died on the side of the road next to the truck. Four shots to the chest and one to the head. Your photos make it clear that her original position on discovery was lying prone. I am assuming that her dress (the black material wadded up under her body) was removed along with her bra by rescue workers and not the ex-boyfriend.

She was lying prone next to the driver's side of the truck. With no shoes on her feet or on the scene. You can see very clearly after they rolled her over, thanks to the good resolution and clarity on your images, that there was a puddle of blood underneath her chest where the four shots were grouped. There is also a puddle of urine directly beneath her hips from where she emptied her bladder upon dying.

But if the blood pool and perimortem void puddle were both lined up with the position she was found it, that means she very likely died on that spot. Lack of shoes and her being beside the driver's side door when he was driving means it is highly unlikely that she attacked him in the car, got out to run away on the highway with no shoes, and then ran around to the driver's side door instead.

If he shot her in self-defense and blind passion in the vehicle as he said, she'd be dead in the passenger seat with five bullets in her. The fact that she died outside of the truck and on the wrong side makes me speculate that he either dragged her ass out there or marched her out there at gunpoint and then executed her with four in the chest and one in the head.

No way it happened in the manner the reporters stated, which is presumably based on his own statement.

At the end of the day, the thin blue line is as much bullshit in third world banana republics as it is in the US. He's probably going to claim self-defense and he's likely to walk or get a slap on the wrist, even as she lays dead, barefoot and in a dress, after he executed her in cold blood on the side of the road.

I am, of course, making the assumption that the red truck right next to her is, in fact, the ex's vehicle. It'd be even weirder for her body to be hell and gone from his vehicle...and weirder still for one of the responders in an unmarked vehicle to be parked close enough to run over the body. It isn't a coroner's truck because the meatwagon is parked off camera waiting for them to finish processes the scene; I noticed it in another video from the news.

They turned the red truck around there! In my video and the photos, her body is clearly on the driver's side but in your video the truck is facing the other way.

It also looks like she held her right arm up in a defensive position and was shot there too.. !?!

That news site mirrored everything before putting it on FB. The licensense plate and writing on their vests etc.
