Young Woman Killed While Feeding Her Dog
Sources differ as to the breed of the dog in this story, with about 7 news different sources citing it as a German Shepherd, a couple IDing it as a Rottie, and a few more not identifying a breed at all. Based on the size and description given, I think a German Shepherd sounds right but I cannot verify. In any event, this 19 year old woman was ostensibly in the process of feeding her dog, which was restrained on a 4-foot chain at the rear of her house, when something happened. No neighbors were watching when it started and it is thought that she slipped and fell, or possibly had some sort of panic or seizure-related attack and fell down due to that. Whatever the case, neighbors were drawn to the scene by her screams. By the time they arrived, she was already supine on the ground with the dog going apeshit. The dog ripped off most of her face, destroyed both of her eyes, and took out a good chunk of her throat. The neighbors all watched and called the police, but all claimed that they were too afraid of the dog to try and save the woman. They also said that the dog was neglected and left on the 4-foot lead for days at a time. Both the neighbors and the dead woman's family described the dog as 'violent' and 'aggressive.' The animal was captured and killed by the police, but the woman was already dead. The neighbors said she was a long time dying and suffered badly, but none of them were willing to face off against the dog with a baseball bat, which was apparently the best weapon any of them could muster. *shrug* If she abused and neglected the animal, my sympathy is limited. No close-ups of her face, I'm afraid. I tried and was lucky to find what I did without censorship. All the facial shots were completely blurred. |

Do not tie up a predatory animal in your back yard and neglect it?

Re: Young Woman Killed While Feeding Her Dog
Functional members of society do not ignore the screams of a teenager being agonizingly ripped apart by a vicious dog, especially one on a four-foot chain that merely needs to be distracted to render aid. In a just world, every one of those people would be ostracized, in the proper Athenian sense; perhaps after the proscribed decade - living in the woods outside town and spending countless days toiling against insensate nature - they would come to have a deeper understanding of the cold, desolate world of their initial aspiration, and seek to improve their community. Alas, though, I am 2,500 years too late, so I'd just burn down their fucking houses. |

Don't keep an animal if you aren't going to care for it properly. That dog probably went psychotic over time on the end of that chain. It could have been perfectly normal when it started out. I feel more sorry for the poor dog.

Re: Young Woman Killed While Feeding Her Dog
This reminds me of a story about an abused dog finally getting even with his abuser- while I am sorry that this young lady had to die, but then again so did the dog. And if he was abused and starved, can you blame him? All around shitty deal...for all involved...
