I remember reading about an unintentional death of a young mother to similar effect. She'd stopped at a red light and two carjackers pulled a gun on her and told her to get out of the car. She refused, instead reaching over the back seat and trying to grab her baby. The carjackers panicked and in the resulting chaos the man on the drivers side forced the woman out of the drivers seat, slammed the door as soon as she was out of the car and then sped off. But the womans seat belt had become entangled with with her arm and neck. She was drug an appalling distance. I don't know exactly how far, but witnesses said it took them several moments to even recognize what they were looking at as human  |

I think there was something similar in the news very recently. A car jacking, and the woman's arm was caught in her purse strap, which was caught in the door. If I remember right, they only drug her across a parking lot, but it was enough to kill her. |

I just hope, in this case, that the poor woman was head/face down, as it appears. The bumps on the noggin would surely have knocked her out fairly quickly.
