We are far from the usual favelas and shacks and whatever. These people live - or to be more precise on behalf of some of them: lived - the good and comfortable life.

They were gathered in the villa at the beach for a 28 years birthday party (she no doubt will become 29 also - she survived), and among them was a PM (Policia Militar) - the hero of the story, albeit a dead one of the kind - , a manager of a band and a young woman, 20 years of age, who happened to be a daughter of a colonel in the Policia Militar.

Some time during the evening, six hooded men assaulted the house. Three from front, three from the backside. Instead of just handing over the valuables, our hero choose to grab his gun and shot one of the bandits. Unfortunately there were more bandits than heroic policemen, so he was shot dead himself.

But not only that: One of the crooks went mad as he saw his pal dead, so he fired wildly into the guests at the party - hitting several of them. Sources vary counting the dead and wounded, but at least all agree that the aforementioned manager died on the spot, and that the young woman was severely wounded and taken to hospital, where she died.

Later another of the bandits was traced to a house, where he involved himself in a gunfight wit the police. This time it was one bandit and several policemen, so maybe he should just have submerged himself.

The images are arranged a bit different from my usual style:

Ladies first: The young woman in morgue and alive. The alive image from the party is made shortly before the robbery - the other young woman in this image could be the 28 years old, but I don't know

There is one male victim uncovered - some sources say it is the PM, others that it is the dead bandit. Anyway he is dead and as such on topic here The same or another victim covered by the pool. Then the bandit, who was shot later. Attached below the other images: The PM alive.

No matter how much money you have, you can't escape the bandits. I wonder how big the divide is between classes in Brazil? It's not something i've looked into. Maybe having money over there puts you at even more risk, due to the risk of being robbed.

Did it say where they actually shot her? It looked like a wound in her left arm and one in her belly to me. I guess the abdominal shot must have torn something up inside-the crotch of her shorts is blood-soaked, so it appears she was hemorrhaging out of random orifices. Internal damage must have been quite unpleasant.

No, not that I have seen. Just that she among others was hit when they randomly fired against the guests.

Btw - she was buried yesterday, but I haven't seen any open casket images, so nothing to post.

I also saw a site with images of all the robbers, most of them alive - we have seen the dead. To be honest, I have little interest in the case beyond the girl, so I didn't bother to read the article - just saw the images by random.
