Young Woman Ends Life After Custody Dispute
Lot of female hangers on the news circuit the past week or two. Must be something with the weather. This 29 year old woman was in some sort of custody dispute with her ex-husband over their two children. Due to her various psychological problems and erratic behavior, he was basically given custody of the kids. She tried to abscond with them and flee to another State in Brazil when she was visiting, so he got child services involved in order to keep her from disappearing with the kids. When the court ruled that she was not allowed to spend time alone with them, she hung herself in her home. |

At least she didn't harm the kids.

Do you know what? If I ever decide to hang myself, I will make damn sure I have a good long piss before hand. Honestly people are sooo selfish.

Noose pressure on the carotids probably had her senseless, mostly unconscious, and convulsing in less than 30 seconds.

Re: Young Woman Ends Life After Custody Dispute
I often wonder about incidents like this one, where the hangee is standing on the floor with bent knees, but appears to have stepped off a chair or the bed (at least, both are placed where she could have used them). Did the rope stretch that much? Was it longer than she intended? I know people frequently hang themselves with their feet on the floor but it almost looks as if this gal stepped off a chair and landed on the floor.

Re: Young Woman Ends Life After Custody Dispute
Throw the rope on the rafters, make a loop to lock, remove some of the slack, make a loop around your neck, tiptoe then tighten it up, and relax the toes... just high enough to hang her right? she's dead. after she died, her dead weight starts to tighten up the probably a bit loose loop in the rafters, giving it more slack, the rope stretches more, then the loop around her neck bit deep into her flesh making more slack... thus the folded knee. just trying to use my silly imagination but it could be possible that way right? |

Re: Young Woman Ends Life After Custody Dispute
Yes, that makes sense. She may well have stood on the chair to put the rope up, rather than stepping off of it to hang herself. I see so many photos on here where there is a chair or something the hangee appears to have stepped off of in the picture, but the hangee has her feet on the ground and usually knees bent besides. But yes, what you describe would account for it. |
