Young Woman Decapitated by Train

Allegedly a suicide, this young woman was decapitated when the train went over her neck on the tracks. Pretty clean cut by all appearances. Her family claim that she was not suicidal and that she was surely held in place by attackers, but no evidence has been found to substantiate that claim.

I will only offer the opinion that roughly 90% of the alleged suicides I see from the sub-continent are contested by the decedent's family as murder.

held down? her body? because that seems to be lying *inside* the tracks, so the train would've passed over her *and* the person holding her down

Indeed. Never underestimate the delusional speculation of a grieving family. I've seen more audacious claims by far.

Re: Young Woman Decapitated by Train

I don't know why the families don't accept suicide as an option. People with severe depression suffer in silence. All it takes is a pretty smile and the world will never know. (Robin Williams said something like that)

I think they often view it as a personal failure on their part if their loved one suffered so badly that they killed themselves, yet the family never knew. If they can convince themselves that it was murder, then they are absolved of blame and, consequently, of guilt.

The reasons for such beliefs are usually purely selfish, as I see it.

Unless the murderer was holding just her HEAD down LOL

I guess it's plausible...if the head is immobilized, the body ain't going anywhere

indeed, 80,2% of the suicides have family conflicts, some followed by depression, as reason to kill yourself.
