Arabic Teacher Dies After Car Crash Into Lorry 09.06.2024 - An Arabic teacher died in tragic circumstances after the car she was driving was involved in an accident with a lorry in Kampung Kubang Telaga, Bachok near here today. In the incident at about 2pm, the victim, Nor Ain Fitriah Zakaria, 25, died at the scene. The victim's father, Zakaria Mat, 54, said his daughter, who teaches at the Al-Hidayah Al-Islamiah Arab Religious Secondary School (SMUA) in Kampung Chap, Bachok, was on way home from the school driving a Perodua Myvi According to him, he who is currently working at the Pasir Puteh District Education Office (PPD) received a phone call regarding the incident that befell Nor Ain Fitriah from the public. "I immediately rushed to the scene and found that the fire brigade was trying to remove her body from the car. The Perodua Myvi car driven by Nor Ain Fitriah has only been purchased for six months. She has only been teaching at SMUA Al-Hidayah Al-Islamiah for the past three months after more than a year of graduation in Egypt," he said when met at the Forensic Unit, Hospital Universiti Sains Malaysia (HUSM) Kubang Kerian, here recently. Zakaria, who is the Junior Imam of the Kubang Telaga Mosque here, said he was relieved by Nor Ain Fitriah's departure and described her as an obedient and kind child. Bachok Fire and Rescue Operations Officer, Abdur Rashid Ab. Rashid said the police received an emergency call at about 4.04pm before a machine with 11 personnel rushed to the scene. "The victim was then handed over to the police before being sent to HUSM for post-mortem," he said. Meanwhile, Bachok District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohamad Ismail Jamaluddin when contacted confirmed that the police had received a report regarding the accident.
