Young Woman Abducted, Strangled, Dumped; Boss Blamed
This 29 year old woman was abducted after leaving her place of employment at a local market. Ransom notes were sent to her family and her boss. Her family could not afford to pay and, apparently, her boss refused to. Her body turned up on the street the next day. She was topless and had been found to have suffered the agonies of a slow ligature strangulation resulting in her death. A sign was placed under her head which read, more or less, "I am dead because my greedy boss refused to pay."  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  · |

Nothing personal, strictly a business decision. Comparing the ransom demanded and the cost of obtaining a replacement is not a difficult matter.
