Young Third Corporal Shot Himself in the Forehead After Being Harassed
The Colombian Army begins an internal investigation to establish the reasons for a suicide committed at a military headquarters by a non-commissioned officer who recorded a video blaming a superior. The incident occurred last Wednesday around 1 AM in the General Manuel Valdivieso Communications Support and Sustainment Battalion, assigned to the Special Communications Brigade. The young soldier was identified as Third Corporal Francisco J. P. O, who would have told his father about the persecution that he apparently suffered from his superior, Major Andrés L. for several months. According to the victim's father, the alleged harassment apparently occurred because the non-commissioned officer was from the Caribbean Coast and it was something that, according to his version, the officer did not like. Before taking his own life, Francisco wrote a handwritten letter about the situation he was suffering and which he later sent to the National Army, specifically to the Army Commander, on March 23, 2024. In which, in the header of the complaint, the young soldier mentions the Ministry of Defense and the Command of the Military Forces. Photos that emerged showing the soldier had laid out his military uniform on the ground, along with two pairs of boots, and then shot himself in the forehead with his service rifle. Before that he recorded a video "I can't stand it, I'm leaving this life. |

Gutless. One needs internal stamina to live a long life in this world. It’s only for the strong at heart and not for weak minded individuals. |

Sometimes supervisors have to ride the employee's ass. I have done it plenty of times and I have never written some one a disciplinary infraction that had not earned one. I was called much more than an asshole and had to answer to my superiors numerous times. I was always cleared of any misconduct.

By the way he waves goodbye, I’m going to go ahead and assume he was being harassed more than we are being told. Also, i bet he didn’t expect that gun to be as masculine as it was to his forehead. Or did he? |

You could be onto something there. Maybe he and the major did a secret brown wings mission together and it later went wrong. Major gaslight him and boom Corporal Copulate takes one in the noggin

I don't actually believe this anymore. I also thought the way you do. Not anymore. I now KNOW it's actually one of the HARDEST things to do, but really does depend of the circumstances. |
