Sad to see thing hardly change in the DR. I remember when I first visited Santo Domingo. People drove very unsafe. I asked the gas attendant if there were never accidents in the street, he responded with "many accidents all the time". I then ask why people do not follow safe simple rules? He said, "the only rule here is that there are no rules". I am surprise that there not more tragic accidents.
