Young Teen Girl Drowned in Public Swimmingpool
A young teen, 13 years old, drowned in a public swimmingpool Sunday afternoon. Her father explains that she had been disappeared for more than 20 minutes, but that the lifeguards did nothing, when he alerted them. When she eventually was found and taken out of the water, it was to late, even if life saving of course was tried. The life guard service at the place is heavily criticized. There are not enough guards, especially in weekends, and they are placed too far from the area, where most children are, it is said. There were also complaints that it was hard to get in contact with the SAMU (ambulance/paramedics), and that it took far too long before they arrived. In other words - a place, where you should look after your kids yourself. |

Re: Young Teen Girl Drowned in Public Swimmingpool
Drownings in pools happen more often than you probably think. I saw a 2 year old get resuscitated by guards that had stopped breathing at the pool, by the time the bambulance showed up the kid was running around like nothing happened...
