The human body thrashes and moves about fairly extensively while asphyxiating in the noose. You can see the motions in several videos here. She was probably standing on some of the lower branches when she started out and then her leg got tangled up a bit while dying. I spoke directly with one of the two guys who discovered her body and he said that her right leg was actually mostly straight with the foot almost on the ground, it was only the left one that was bent and caught. Just hard to see the right foot because it is obscured by foliage. |
