Young Man's Shoulder Destroyed in Motorbike Crash
On the morning of 20th December 2018 in Manaus, 22 year old M.C.N.D.S. died in a road accident. 'M' had been speeding on his motorbike. He ended up going into the opposite lane + crashed into an oncoming truck. The truck driver, 50 year old S.L., was not injured. The young man's mother arrived at the scene + 'went into despair' upon seeing her son dead. |

Helmet didn't do shit, to help him. Shame. Speed kills...plain and simple. I don't regret giving up my motorcycle. |

Re: Young Man's Shoulder Destroyed in Motorbike Crash
I no longer ride either. I quit years ago. I always wore a DOT approved crash helmet though, $$$, not a cheapy. We see evidence here of safety restraint systems, seat belt pre-tensioners, air bags and crumple zones that did not save the occupants so why wear them or purchase vehicles with functioning safety equipment? Same holds true for life vest. Who needs any of that boring stuff?
