Young Man Murders Girlfriend and Dumps Body

This 17 year old girl's body was seen lying beside a road by a passing motorist. He called the police who extracted the corpse from its resting position on a hillside abutting the highway.

The girl had no ID when found, but was wearing Hello Kitty pajamas that were soaked in blood around the chest and neck. She had been stabbed one time above the breast and her throat had also been slit. A smaller wound was also present on her cheek. She was estimated to have been dead no more than a few hours.

The police released photos of her corpse (with the knife wounds photoshopped out in some, depending on the publication) as well as each article of clothing that she was wearing at the time of death in hopes that someone would recognize either her face or the clothing. She was also wearing a distinctive necklace.

Eventually someone did recognize them and she was identified as a 17 year old high school student who had been missing since the night before when she went out with her boyfriend.

The math ain't hard to do.

The police raided his apartment the following day and he tried to flee but was shot in the leg during pursuit.

He eventually confessed that the two of them had been fighting in the evening and he got fed up and threatened her with a kitchen knife. They struggled and she was stabbed once in the chest and grazed in the cheek. She tried fighting him off for a bit longer, then collapsed, weak and gasping from the chest wound. He took advantage of the situation to pin her down and slit her throat. Obviously she was dead by the time he finished.
