The pistol looks to be a .38spl or .357mag, at minimum.
But considering the size of that bore, cylinder and bullet casing inside, it could very possibly be a .44Special ?
(using LRN or FMJ bullets)

Gun manufacturer could be a Taurus, Rossi, or Charter Arms.

And added a little blood for visual effect.
