Re: Young Lady Killed by Her Girlfriend's Homophobic Father
I only mingle with the opposite sex, BUT I still find homophobes and their ilk to be repugnant. They can cling to whatever excuse they want, but typically their excuse for despising homosexuals and bisexuals don’t hold water. I say, live and let live. But if you’re gonna hate your neighbor for living an “alternative lifestyle”, then you better have a damn good reason to do so. And I cannot think of any. |

What point are you trying to make as it seems disconnected to the one I was making. Are you saying that a bigot who never shows it or acts on it is the same as a domestic terrorist? Seems like you just want to make a point that has nothing to do with anything, yet sounds PC.

Yes, by being passively approving of and displaying homophobic attitudes they help foster an environment in which those with violent tendencies feel supported and encouraged, thus more likely to act on their violent urges.

Re: Young Lady Killed by Her Girlfriend's Homophobic Father
You may mean well but you should define what homophobe means to you first, then not automatically assign complicity collectively to an entire group. That's, quite ironically potentially very bigoted and prejudiced as it doesn't account for any individual variation. I am in no way defending what he did but your reaction might have been shockingly similar to his. |
