Live-in relationships at 12 or 13 years old = BAD IDEA, in my opinion. Actually, if I had a 12 or 13 year old, I don't think I'd be okay with them dating anyone at all until they were a bit older.

Different cultures do things differently. In Brazil, where this crime occurred, that disparity in age is not nearly so unusual as it is in the US or the UK. Mexico is much the same. Many of the women I post from Mexico are married and in their young teens. I realize that everyone has their own cultural viewpoint, but I do rather wish people on this site (not just you in specific-only quoting your post for reference) would realize that before they start screaming and hollering about the age difference. What is radically obscene for some of us may be perfectly normal and acceptable for entire cultures with which we are not familiar. |
