Rather tragic story here, actually. Thai is very difficult to translate using software, so particular thanks to my dear friend Etsu for turning me on to the story and translating the salient details.

The decedent here is a Burmese girl living in Thailand. Her age was given as either 10 or 12, depending on the source, but 10 was the most frequently cited and it seems fairly accurate given her size and features.

The girl was said to be gregarious and intelligent, if somewhat disenfranchised by poverty. She liked watching scary movies and playing in the neighborhood with her peers.

While her parents were away at work, she was home watching her young brother. At some point, she allegedly broke the handle to the faucet at the home. She panicked and became very fearful that she would be severely punished if her parents returned home and the faucet was damaged. She tried various means to repair it, including tape and some sort of adhesive putty. None of the methods seemed to work.

According to the report, she got herself so worked up in anticipatory fear of punishment that she chose suicide by hanging as a viable alternative.

Clearly there is an investigation into potential abuse in the household, but the determination was that she did kill herself rather than being murdered and staged as a hanging.

What an absurdly tragic and ridiculous reason to die.

Poor sweetheart. When I was 11 a friend stole some gin from her parents and I had a couple sips ( as did a few other kids). Anyhow, a teacher found out and gave us a ultimatum: tell your parents or the principal would. I was so afraid of shaming my parents, and of pissing them off severely so decided I'd stab myself to death!! Obviously I couldn't do so sobbing in supplication at my mom's feet I confessed. She said "You better not do that again you dumb ass!!" (and never told my step-father).Things seem soooo much worse when your brain isn't fully developed.

Yeah, clearly the case here. Damned sad waste of potential. I nearly refrained from posting (I loathe posting children and very rarely do it), but the uncensored photos were very rare and hard for me to track down, so I decided to put them up anyway.

The parents were clearly abusive cunts, she expected to get the shit kicked out of her for breaking the item, and that fear was probably based on similar incidents in her recent past. That is the only way her actions make sense (unless she was a mental case which I doubt.)

If this was a good alternative to facing her parents wrath, this poor baby must have been through some horrific punishments. This is heartbreaking :-( Makes me glad I haven't raised my kids "old school" and beat on them every time they slip up, like was done to me. R.i.p. little angel :'(
