Young Couple Shot Off of Bike
A young couple, Kevin (29) and Lila (24) were shot to death by armed assailants on two other motorbikes who discharged a fusillade of fire when they overtook them on n unpaved road in Peru this afternoon. The young woman was shot once in the throat and twice in the upper chest. The man was shot six times in various locations. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. No suspects or motives have been officially assigned, but several newspapers indicated that Kevin had a criminal history and that the murder was a 'settling of accounts.' Lila was a secretary at a local municipal office, had no criminal record, and had only been seeing Kevin for a short time. Most articles asserted that she was likely to have been collateral damage and may not have even known about her new boyfriend's criminal history. She just had the misfortune of riding on the back of his motorcycle at the wrong time. |

yes, here in Mexico we have a lot of Kevins, Bryans (here you could find it also as Brayan) and Brandons for girls, we have la Britany and Kimberly to be honest, most of the boys and girls that have that name, are very brown and look quite Mexican and not really Anglo-Saxon and then we have the super white guys (green or blue eyes) that have names like Moctezuma, Tenoch, Tonatiuh or Tlaloc |

Also common here and in the DR and Venezuela, is "Jaykob." Mothers spell it that way to enforce its pronunciation like Jacob in English and not "hah-CÓBE" like in Spanish. Cultural aporopriation. Excuse me while I use my fainting couch. |
