You Can't Call For Help With a Second Smile

This 21 year old woman was walking home from a trip to the convenience store, wearing her earbuds and listening to music on her phone.

Apparently, somewhere between when she was last seen and the actual door to her home, someone attacked her very suddenly and very brutally. Her throat was slashed, allegedly from behind. There were also a few smaller wounds on her upper back.

The attacker seems to have fled immediately and the victim walked over to a tree near a small retaining wall and sat down, possibly not yet realizing the full extent of her injuries. She apparently used her phone to try to call her husband, but he told police that all he heard were horrible gurgling sounds. Nonetheless, he was worried and immediately headed for home.

After making the phone call, she apparently just at down and dropped her phone and bled out, dying on the spot. Her hands were near her neck when she was found, covered in blood, as she presumably tried to staunch the flow of claret.

All of her possessions were still at the scene, so robbery was ruled out as a motive.

This case happened a few months ago, but was in my slush folder because most of the images are censored or poor quality. The news this week said that a young woman had been arrested in connection to this girl's murder, so I decided to post it anyway now that the case is basically solved. Just be aware that the images aren't the best. Interesting case, though, so I figured it couldn't hurt to post it.

Yeah, I had that one. Didn't think it offered much that the others didn't, considering the heavy blurring. But I guess there's a better view of the blood trail down her chest. No harm in any event.

Mexico's always tough these days. Almost as bad as Thailand. But at least I can communicate with the Mexicans. If I want to try to ask for more photos from Thai pages, I have to go bother Etsu and have her translate on the spot for me, haha.

I used to know a journalist in Oaxaca who always gave me great access to original photos from that region, but he died back in 2013 and his replacement was an arse who felt that disseminating uncensored images of dead women caused a proliferation of male-on-female violence.
