I remember listening to a recording from the world trade centre. It was a woman on the phone to the emergency services. She is describing that she can't move. She is struggling to talk as her torso is crushed. She hears no-one. She then explains how the concrete beneath her is getting hot, as a few minutes pass she explains that it is getting even hotter and she is crying. Her cries get louder as she sobs that it is burning! There was no video with this, just a recording. I have seen lots of photos and videos from this day but nothing has disturbed me as much as this did. I quite often think about what i heard, i think about that poor operator taking that call. This is why i would have jumped  |

actually, the steel from one of the buildings was recycled and used to build a new ship for the US Navy. i don't remember the name of the ship though.

The holes on the canopy are where people fell through. You can't see their bodies or parts because of all the concrete dust. Some areas in focus look like a grayish pink. That's what's left of the jumpers.
