I am german and im glad we got are asses kicked twice.. but i probably only think that because my dads english... anyway they were terrible wars that claimed many lives.

heres a picture of my grandad john larmour and the crew of hms penelope nickname hms pepperpot the picture is taken after they went through two weeks of pure hell left the ship with over 80000 holes she just about made it this picture was taken on the 10 april 1942 but most of the men in the picture would die on the 18th of feb 1944 there have been a few books about the penelopes actions the ship and hms pepperpot i know its not gore but every man on that ship had stared death in the face for two weeks
