Re: Work related accident resulted in death

Turns my stomach every time i see a pic like this, i work on a lathe a little bigger than this and knowing that my dad died in 2011 in the same manor reminds me every day. My dad did machining for 45 years and got dragged in......in his case they dont know if he had a heart attack and then got dragged in or if he got dragged in and then had the heart attack, either way it was not pretty.

Re: Work related accident resulted in death

Loose clothing and machinery don't go together.

Re: Work related accident resulted in death

The number 1 rule when working with tool shop machinery. Never wear any loose clothing.

Re: Work related accident resulted in death

And for the people who think this is suicide. I serious doubt it. This is probably one of the worst ways to die. Imagine how painful and traumatic this would be.

I think there should be a rule where you can only wear a tank top when working with these machines or no shirt at all even.
