IMO, pen casket funeral is a disgusting custom. I mean, just..ew! And to think people actually bend down and KISS the decedent--who had been dead for over a week....., bleeech I'd rather have the image of them ALIVE burned into my memory rather than the the image of them DEAD. We were taking care of a good friend toward the end of his life (AIDS) and we were the ones who found him dead in his home. I'll never forget looking at his face, eyes open, crystal blue eyes with a searching, far away look in them. Ick. No, seeing someone you love DEAD reallllllly sucks.  |

I agree with Momzilla, I hate funerals, not that anyone likes them. Only been to one funeral when I was a kid and decided even at a young age I'd rather have last memories of life. Nothing wrong with not attending if you don't need closure.1st pic is kind of cute  .
