Convoluted fucking mess of a tale here. Translated from Indonesian, so there's always a margin of error, but I believe I have consolidated all of the facts from various sources.

This 26 year old woman discovered that her husband was cheating on her. She called him out for it and they had a big fight, subsequent to which she allegedly left the home.

She called him on his cell phone a few hours later, saying that she was depressed over his infidelity and was going to hang herself because of him. He ran out of the house and to the bridge where she was supposedly going to commit suicide, keeping her on the phone the entire time to try and forestall her death.

When he arrived, they had a lengthy discussion which culminated in him talking her out of killing herself. Of course, she decided that her alternative was to leave his cheating ass for good and she stated as much.

A second vicious argument ensued, during which he repeatedly tried to convince her to stay with him. She adamantly stuck to her position and he lost his temper and throttled her. After strangling her for a few minutes, he realized that she was dead and dropped her to the ground. he briefly contemplated using the noose she'd brought to stage a hanging to cover his ass, but quickly decided that her dead weight was too much to handle and he'd never get it done. So he ran off and left her lying there instead.

Two young fishermen found her lying under the bridge and called the police. The husband turned himself in fairly quickly and confessed the entire sordid affair.

As is common in Indonesian crime scenes, the police liaison dispensed several scene/autopsy details to the press, which the press promptly printed along with many of the photos.

The woman was discovered within an hour of death and exhibited several signs of death by strangulation:
Her hyoid brone was broken.
She had extensive bruising to the throat as well as to her hands (indicated that she fought while being asphyxiated).
Her eyes were both wide open with petechiae visible on the sclera.
Her tongue had been bitten and was partially protruding to her lower lip.
She had voided both urine and feces into her underpants while asphyxiating.

Yeah, a raging lunatic... I saw the docu. She, and many other cases, thoroughly debunk the "it takes a man to do that" narrative regarding violent crimes. That quote above is from Scream (the original film) and it's utter bogus but I'm sure that was the whole point of the quote.

I've never heard of someone taking the time and effort to talk a person out of committing suicide and then murdering them. What is the point in that? That's ironic as fuck if he let her kill herself he'd be free and fucking his mistress right now! I hope he thinks of that while he is rotting in an Indonesian hellhole of a prison.
