Woman Stabbed to Death by Her Girlfriend
In the Monte Oliveiras neighbourhood, on the morning of 6th February 2017, 29 year old Andreza Souza dos Santos, was found dead in her house with 18 stab wounds. Andreza's brother had found her dead in the living room. Andreza's girlfriend of 12 years, 37 year old Leila Jerônimo Assunção, was arrested. Their relationship had been filled with constant fights, often turning physical. Andreza's brother stated that his sister had been trying to end the relationship as Leila was a violent + jealous girlfriend. Leila had also threatened to kill Andreza if she ended it. Jealousy, insecurity, same stuff most couples argue over I reckon. Although it sounds like the killer might be a bit unhinged, which never helps.
