actually, when it comes to teens and kids. Philippines is just like mexico and brazil. gangs everywhere. cheap fraternities who orders new recruits to hit somebody as their initiation. you can see kids as young as 10 years old these days waving around hazing paddles and chains and flick knives. so my friends who know they're not safe in a place teeming with these gangs and frats, always like to have an edge and prepared just in case.

too heavy. the weight of my Llama .380 and an extra clip in my bag is already bothersome in long walks when i get out of the car. besides, i dont frequent on places designated as gang turfs or something like that. tall buildings and wide roads without surprise dark intersections are good enough for me.

and dont worry. hitting someone as their initiation rites in fraternities and gangs are just about 25% an option, they still have the 50% option to have that new recruit shoplift or rob somebody as initiation rites. the other 25% are the bumps and bruises types.
