some info : Two men were arrested in Zhuzhou, Hunan province for killing, dismembering and cooking a woman called Liu Ying (pseudonym) who had been missing since the end of November. Sina News reports that the two suspects had been planning the murder of Liu Ying for half a month. According to police, one of the men, surnamed Li, had spent 15 years in prison for burglary. The other suspect, surnamed Liu, has a history of drug abuse. Both of the men were unemployed. Shanghaiist reported that the woman and Li often played mahjong together. On the day of her disappearance, they had met to play again. During the game, Li told her that his friend Liu owned a house which he wanted to sell. The woman finally agreed to go with Li to see the house. But once they got there, the men attacked Liu Ying and robbed her of gold jewelry and money she had with her. According to local media, the robbers got less than 20,000 yuan (USD 3208) altogether. After the robbery, Liu and Li dismembered the corpse with a knife and a hammer. To get rid of the evidence, they cooked the remains for three days and then scattered them. In case of conviction, the men will most likely be handed death penalty for killing Liu Ying. |
