Also, what are innocent signs in one cultural context may be gang signs in another one. Some guy got killed in LA a few years ago when he innocently made a fraternity sign in the wrong place at the wrong time. Some gang also used the same sign and rival gang members were present. They killed him with no questions asked.

What's sad to me, at least is the fact that most of the younger people in that country don't have anything much more than this to look forward to- seems like most of them die a violent death whether they get involved in the drug culture, or not. Collateral damage.  |
