Woman Shot and Her Corpse Thrown in a Canal
Wednesday May 27th in the morning the body of a woman was found in a canal under a bridge somewhere in Thailand. She was shot in the temple, and her body was then thrown into the water. The foam could suggest that she wasn't dead, when she reached the water, and that she drowned instead of dying from the gunshot. I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't believe that she survived that shot directly to her head. On the other hand, there is no apparent exit wound, so maybe. She is unidentified - she had no ID and the locals didn't know her. But the estimate is that she is in her late twenties, 28-30 years old. It is obvious that the hasn't been in the water for a long time - Thailand is hot, and floaters usually look ugly very fast. |

mort999! Your Correct! She Ingested Water Into Her Lungs Prior To the Brain Dying! The Bodies Survival Reflex Takes Over And Her Lungs Were Still Trying To Suck In Oxygen! Hence, The Gurgling! Hypoxemia —A condition characterized by an abnormally low amount of oxygen in the arterial blood. It is the major consequence of respiratory failure, when the lungs no longer are able to perform their chief function of gas exchange. |

I think that the parts of her brain that perform basic life support functions were still intact after the shot in the head. She probably didn't suffer from drowning. She was likely gone by the time she hit the water. Either blacked out from the shock and trauma of getting shot or her brain was destroyed to the point where motor skills and thought processes were no longer a possibility.

Re: Woman Shot and Her Corpse Thrown in a Canal
A lot of speculation, but no way to determine anything conclusively in the absence of an autopsy report. Even where single gunshot wounds to the head are fatal (as they usually are) death may take hours or even days to occur in the absence of any further cause. One may just think of the assassinations of Lincoln and Robert Kennedy in this connection. Neither of them died until the day after they were shot, and Kennedy was even conscious and talking for a little while after Sirhan Sirhan shot him. I would guess this woman drowned, but it is just that, a guess. Without being thrown in the water, it is likely that she would have died from the head shot eventually.
