On tuesday afternoon (12/11/2013) a woman was shot by her husband, from whom she was separated. She fell dead on the floor. He then shot himself and fell on top of the dead body of his exwife. He might have lived a few minutes after the shot.

She had sought protection by the police, as he had also tried to shoot her on sunday, but to no avail.

The authorities had to wait more than two hours to remove the bodies, because relatives to the woman opposed that she was taken to legal autopsy. As far as I understand, the authorities gave in and moved her to an ordinary morgue.

Another source tells that the delay was because the onlookers wouldn't alow the man - still alive - to be given first aid and removed to hospital.

Even if you could have sympathy for the opposition in both cases, I don't know which is true - if any Carribean journalists have a lot of fantasy, and they use it to write colourfull stories.
