Woman Shot Dead in the Street in Vistas del Centinela, Zapopan, 2019
On Tuesday morning, September 24, 2019, a woman believed to be about 29 was killed by gunfire in the Vistas del Centinela neighborhood of Zapopan, within the Guadalajara metropolitan area of Jalisco, Mexico. At about 8:40 am, police located her in the street on Calle Jazmin with at least four gunshot wounds, all reportedly to the neck. Witnesses said those responsible fled on a motorcycle. The Jalisco prosecutor's office initiated an investigation under the femicide protocol. Her identity was never publicly released, and no arrests were reported.
