Historical precedent says you're talking out your ass. When the Volstead Act was enacted in 1919, alcohol for consumption became illegal in the US. Crime involving the manufacturing, bootlegging, and smuggling of illegal liquor skyrocketed.

When Prohibition was repealed in 1933, guess what? It was regulated and taxed!

And while a few of your toothless hillbilly kinsmen in Tennessee hollers continued to run moonshine stills for profit, the vast majority of the country were more than happy to pay more for legal, regulated booze.

The smuggling stopped. The illegal manufacture tapered off to near non-existence. Criminals who previously profited from booze went on to totally different enterprises.

No reason whatsoever to assume that de-criminalizing, taxing, and regulating several controlled substances today would be any different. Weed and junk would become marketable commodities just like cigarettes, booze, porn, and any other 'vices' that have undergone varying levels of proscription down the years.

But please, if you have some substantial evidence to indicate that legalizing a controlled substance will not reduce the violence and illegal trafficking associated with it, feel free to share it with us.
