Woman Motorcyclist Killed by Truck on BR-101 in Alhandra, Paraiba (2014)
A crash involving a motorcycle and a twin-trailer truck killed Etiene Eneas da Silva on Wednesday morning, November 26, 2014. The collision occurred at km 111 of the BR-101 highway in the Mata Redonda district of Alhandra, Paraiba, Brazil, about 30 km south of Joao Pessoa. The 28-year-old farm worker, who was from Pedras de Fogo, Paraiba, was dragged several meters along the highway. She was reportedly travelling to a prison in Joao Pessoa to visit her husband, who was serving a sentence there. She left three children. The truck driver fled and had not been identified when the incident was reported.  ·  ·  ·  · |

At least she was wearing her helmet. I find it interesting that, while she looks like a reject from the pretzel factory, the bike looks like you could pick it up and speed away. It seems like the bike usually comes out fairly well. |
