Not if they were a moving target. Maybe the first one hit and stunned her enough that he was able to better aim the second time. Shot in the neck because she was pretty and did not want to mess up her lovely face. Just did not want to share her beaver with younger competition. Surprised the lover hasn't been found dead too.
