A girl of four was found shot dead along with a woman in the tourist port of Acapulco, one of the latest violence in less than a week have left at least six other children died.

The girl was shot in the chest and was found inside a vehicle with a woman about 30 years, who had at least three bullet wounds, said Thursday the Department of Public Safety in a police Guerrero. Authorities had not identified the victims and the causes of crime.

Acapulco, about 400 miles southwest of Mexico City has seen in recent months an upsurge of violent crimes attributed to drug gangs disputes.
In the last week, several children have been among the victims.

The bodies were found Sunday by a woman and two children.
