Woman Killed Her Elderly Disabled Mother This Morning
This morning (12th July 2018) in Santiago, 56 year old Margarita Martínez Brito killed her disabled mother, 87 year old Miledis Brito. Margarita, who had been suffering from schizophrenia for several years, killed her mother as she slept. Afterwards, she phoned the emergency services + confessed her crime. Margarita said that she killed her mother as a voice in her head had ordered her to. *I've also read their ages as 57 + 82 years. Edit: On 15th July, she was sentenced to six months pre-trial detention.         |

I always thought it funny/interesting that these voices command people to kill, rather than plant some flowers, or maybe bake a cake.  |
