27 year old woman was riding her bicycle when she was shot dead yesterday. She had a friend, riding a different bike, who was also shot but did not die at the scene.

This girl did, however. A follow-up article spoke a bit about her background. She was college-educated at one of Brazil's best universities and had worked a corporate job for several years with some success. For some reason, she drifted into the drug scene and lost her way. She had previously been arrested several times on drug charges and her involvement in dealing was presumed to be the cause of her assassination. Antemortem photos include one from a few years ago and a more recent one, after her involvement in the drug trade.
