"Self-killing" is not the issue, but suffering is. Death is infinitely more dignified and merciful than prolonged, ghastly suffering; sadly, suicide is the only way out in the face of irremediable hopelessness and non-existent quality of life. Krep in mind that what constitutes nonexistent quality of life should always be left to the person that does the suffering, not to some bullshit sense of duty to some primitive tribal God—or any God, for that matter. The reason I said 'Jewish God' is because that is the god that has been advertised most in the West, through the never-ending, ad-nauseam proliferation of the bible.
