Woman Found Slashed and Beaten to Death in Sorsogon City

PHILIPPINES - On December 19, 2018, 34-year-old R.L.D. was found slashed and beaten to death at Sitio Banao, Barangay Salvacion, Bacon District, Sorsogon City, Sorsogon. I cropped Here's the news report I translated:

WOMAN KILLED AFTER BEING SLASHED IN THE NECK AND BEATEN ON HER HEAD IN SORSOGON CITY

SORSOGON CITY, December 20, 2018 - A woman was found dead at Sitio Banao, Barangay Salvacion, Bacon District, Sorsogon City.

She is identified as R.D., 34 years old, married, resident of the said barangay.

Based on an information gathered, Sorsogon City Police Station received a telephone call regarding the said incident, so they immediately went to the scene.

Based on an initial investigation by authorities, the victim was supposedly on her way to Sorsogon City when she was blocked by an unidentified suspect.

The suspect slashed the victim's neck, and then beat her head due to an unknown reason.

The victim possibly resisted because of a damaged umbrella that was used in beating the suspect.

It is revealed that R.L.D. came from K.G.'s house to collect debt for a perfume before the incident happened.

A machete and an apple branch which was used by suspect in beating were recovered from the incident.

There is an ongoing thorough investigation by theb authorities for a "person of interest" of the said crime.
