This is from Venezuela. And people suspect that she discovered something dirty from the oil company (what a suprise) and the police did that shit to cover themselves and the corrupts managers of that oil company. So maybe this was a setup, not a suicide. Corruption is rampant here. This happens on a daily basis.  |

Yes, I reckon that. I am from Finland where the prisoners get way too decent treatment IMO (the violent ones especially). Therefore suicide by using shoelaces is very uncommon/unheard of here. I'm not saying there are no suicides in prison, I know a few where an inmate hanged himself by using bed sheets. Think they're not going to ban bed sheets just because of this risk here!

She was most likely depressed for a while before losing her job. Depression is a real bitch and hard to understand for people who haven't been through it. She most likely didn't kill herself because of her job loss, but it definitely didn't help.
