Woman Found Asphyxiated at the Roadside
6. june 2012. Only a few hours ago this unidentified woman was found in a roadside. She was asphyxiated. The police believes that she was killed elsewhere and dumped at the roadside. Updated info: She was a 27 years old manicurist (shame on those who critizised her nails!), married and mother to three, who according to her father was quiet living and didn't smoke, drink alcohol or even coffee. He suggests that she was a victim of envy or jealousy. He also mentioned that a bag with her workingmaterials, watch, papers and two phones had disappeared. The forensic report confirms that she was asphyxiated, but still no mentioning of the method. Still no new images. I expect that she'll show up in other sites too - and hopefully with more pics. I'll keep the thread updated. The first two images are high quality - the last three less so. They are stills from a video with only a few seconds of panning over the body. I post them, because they are so far the only (semi)totals. |

Re: Woman Found Asphyxiated at the Roadside
I think it is because she has rested on the pale part of her face. Livor comes from the blood pooling in the lower parts of the body. But in the areas that carries the weight, the small vessels are compressed, so that the blood can't get there. When the body has rested on the back, you'll see pale areas there on the upper half and the buttocks. There is a well known image of a dead woman, where you can see the rim of her bra as pale areas - it is the same effect. |

I don't either, so I kept the word as it was. Any obstruction of the airways will cause asphyxiation, so there are other options than the ligature. I saw another site today (no new images) call it "stangulation" - but I still find it hard to believe. |
