One woman died at the scene and two others were seriously injured after the black Renault Logan Expression vehicle, plate QQT 6280, collided with a streetlight pole.

According to information from the military police who attended the incident, the fatal accident happened early in the morning of this Saturday, 7.

The three women were thrown out of the car after the strong impact and the two that still showed signs of life were rescued by Samu and taken to the Hospital and Emergency Room.

The man who drove the vehicle and another who was traveling alongside him in the passenger band emerged unscathed from the accident because they were protected by the airbag and seat belts they wore at the time of the strong collision.

The two men abandoned the vehicle when they were still visibly stunned and fled in a taxi just before the arrival of a Military Police garrison.

The car was traveling in the direction of the city center and several drivers who stopped at the crash site confirmed that the man driving the Renault Logan was developing at high speed.

The IML team removed the body of the woman who died and there is still no further information on the state of health of the other two who were rescued and taken to the hospital.

It was identified as R. de S. O, 21, the victim of the traffic accident that occurred at dawn on Saturday (7), at Avenida Torquato Tapajós, Novo Israel neighborhood, in the northern part of the capital.

The victim's name was confirmed by a cousin of hers, who declined to be identified, and who was present at the 14th Integrated Police District (DIP), this Saturday morning, to register a police report (BO).

According to the cousin, she would have left the house where she lived at around 10 pm, on Friday (6). She was in the car with five other people, two men and three women.

The cousin said that the victim and the other members of the group were going to a party. The car was reportedly being driven by a man identified only as 'Junior', also a resident of the victim's neighborhood.

According to the victim's cousin, in the front seat of the vehicle was 'Junior' and another man. In the back seat were the victim and three other friends who were seriously injured.

The girls were taken to the Hospital where they are hospitalized. The police are investigating the case.

As of 9 am, the Police Station for Traffic Accidents (DEAT) had not yet released the name of the fatal victim and the women who were hospitalized.

The man who piloted the car that collided with the street lamp and the other who fled the scene with him are also being contacted by the DEAT police team so that appropriate measures can be heard and taken.
