a simple lever contraption like i mentioned can lift a corner of weights over 3 times of that. it,s not like they will lift the whole thing off the road. just a few inches up of that one corner enough to pull her out.

I actually passed on the first time I read your comment, but no longer. Dude, did you see what country this happened in? Do you have even the slightest clue that you cannot judge the rest of the world by USA standards? This is fucking Africa man. What did you expect a fully equipped fire and rescue dept within 5 minutes of any disaster scene there? Jaws of life? WTF? You have to first believe that these piss ass countries even give a damn about their people. You can count on that container being over 40,ooo pounds. No leverage was going to budge that fucker.
